SOCIETY HILL, SC Funeral services for George Thomas Rogers, 61, will be held at 11 am Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Willow Oaks Farm, 4748 Hartsville Highway, Society Hill, SC 25953. George, husband of Lyrae Creamer Rogers, died Saturday, March 8th, 2014. Born in Hartsville, SC, he was the son of Anna Gillespie Rogers and the late Paul Hamilton Rogers IV.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 9 pm at Willow Oaks Farm.
George graduated NC State with a mechanical engineering degree and went on to own his own business building custom fabricated machines for over 30 years, beginning in 1983. His brilliant mind and drive for innovation combined with his tremendous work ethic made him a shining example of the American Dream. was a loving husband and devoted father; a spiritual man who lived out his faith through his great integrity, selfless generosity, and joy for life. His heart of gold made him adored by many.
